Yes Girl?...Hell NO!
About the Author – Coach Vivica B

The Woman Behind the Movement
For as long as she can remember, Coach Vivica B (Vivica Fishburne) has been a natural problem solver—a woman who sees beyond the surface and into the soul. Even as a child, she was the one with the answers, the strategist among her friends, helping them craft the perfect response when they found themselves in trouble. It was no surprise that this gift of wisdom and discernment would one day shape her purpose.
From the age of 14, Vivica had a talent for doing hair, which evolved into a thriving salon business. But hair was only the medium—her true power was in her words. Clients left her chair feeling transformed, not just in appearance but in spirit. They would often tell her, “You changed my life with that one statement,” or “I needed that advice more than you know.”
Yet, for all the lives she was helping, she was running on empty. She spent years trying to fix people who didn’t want to fix themselves, pouring from a cup that was bone dry.
Her wake-up call? Feeling stuck. She loved her career, but she knew there was something bigger she was meant to do. She realized she wasn’t just meant to help women feel beautiful—she was meant to help them break free.
Why She Wrote Yes Girl?... Hell No!
Vivica B saw firsthand how women are conditioned to carry the weight of everyone around them—with grace, dignity, and no complaints. The world tells women to be strong, to sacrifice, to endure.
But who teaches them that saying NO is okay?
“This book is my response to the conditioning of women to be the caretakers, the ones who shoulder the burdens without a second thought. I want every woman to know: It is okay to say no to what drains you and yes to whatever makes you happy.”
If she could tell her younger self one thing, it would be this:
If it doesn't bring you peace, joy, or clarity—say NO. And if you need to, say HELL NO!"

Breaking Free from the "Yes Girl" Mentality
For years, Vivica B was The Yes Girl—saying yes when she wanted to say no, overextending herself, and giving more than she had to people who wouldn’t do the same for her.
Her biggest “Yes Girl” moment? Her last relationship.
“I had to ask myself the hard questions. How did I get here again? Why was I repeating the same patterns? I had to take a deep dive into my past and uncover things I had been sweeping under the rug for years.”
That soul-searching moment changed everything. She realized that not everyone deserves access to her energy—that saying “HELL NO” was not just an option but a necessity.
She started setting strict, non-negotiable boundaries, and in doing so, she found her freedom.
Becoming Coach Vivica B: The Birth of a Purpose
Though she had been coaching women for years behind the salon chair, she made it official four years ago when she earned her coaching certification.
💡 “I didn’t want to just be an advice-giver—I wanted to be an accountability partner. I wanted to help women do the inner work that would truly change their lives.”
And she’s done just that.
Through her coaching, she’s seen women who lacked confidence stand boldly in their truth. She’s seen women who once feared saying “no” finally protect their peace and reclaim their space.
With this newfound confidence has come success, wealth, and a deep self-discovery that these women never thought possible.
